My Thai – Review
Went to My Thai few days ago with couple friends. We came on a Wednesday evening and it was fairly busy – and while we were there were a few Deliveroo deliveries/takeaways being picked up.
My Thai is certainly a place you can go for inexpensive food. Most of the main courses was £7.50. I went for the Pad Cashew Nut rice dish – cashew nuts, pineapple, peppers, mushroom, onion with choice of stir fried meat. I went for chicken. For starter, for the Moo Yang Grilled Marinated Pork on Skewers. This tasted OK – the sauce was a bit overly sweet though for my taste.
Going back to the mains, it wasn’t the best unfortunately. The flavours were OK – a bit spicy (which it did not mention in menu) but the rice was a bit soggy and some of the veg was undercooked.
For a drink, I went for the Thai Pa – a session IPA called My Thai’s Pale Ale. Actually brewed by Northern Monk Brew Co. Tasted pretty good.
The service was good though. Friendly, food arrived very quickly.
