Movies 2019: What I am looking forward to

Bit late to sort out my list of movies to watch in 2019. There will be some movies I am sure I have forgot about and some movies on this list will turn out to be rubbish.

Here is list just order when released in the UK:

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World 1 February
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part 8 February
Captain Marvel 8 March
Shazam! 5 April
Hellboy 12 April
Avengers: Endgame 26 April
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum 17 May
Godzilla: King of the Monsters 31 May
Dark Phoenix 7 June
Men in Black: International 14 June
Toy Story 4 21 June
Spider-Man: Far From Home 5 July (US)
Lion King 19 July
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw 2 August
Joker 4 October
Zombieland 2 11 October
Terminator 6 1 November
Star Wars: Episode IX 20 December

The ones I definitely want to watch in cinema as soon as possible are:

Avengers: Endgame
Toy Story 4

Spider-Man: Far From Home
Godzilla: King of the Monsters
Hobbs and Shaw
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

Why I want to watch them/why in list

Avengers: Endgame

The obvious one. I am a big Marvel fan and like all their movies. This is the last one of the Avengers movies and after Endgame, it will be a newer, younger group of main Marvel superheroes.

Captain Marvel

This is the first Marvel movie with a female lead superhero. I like Brie Larson and trailers look good – and its a Marvel movie so you know I will watch it!

Toy Story 4

I LOVE Toy Story. All of them are some of my favourite movies ever. I can’t pick a favourite out of them – although Toy Story 3 had a scene that made me laugh probably the best ever in a cinema. It’s just something that really ticked my funny bone. I know overall its probably not “that” funny to many – the scene is the Mr Tortilla Head scene.

Spider-Man: Far From Home

I think Spider-Man: Homecoming was one of the best Spider-Man movies. I think Tom Holland is perfect casting for Spider-Man.

Star Wars: Episode IX

Not a massive Star Wars movie. And especially after The Last Jedi, not as bothered about it and Star Wars generally. Not seen Solo. But still plan to watch it.

Dark Phoenix

X:Men movies are a bit hit and miss. Rumours of this are that it may be another miss. Apparently Dark Phoenix said to be “an embarrassment to all involved with it”. Hmmm

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

Really enjoyed the first one. Was funny. So hoping the 2nd one is more of the same.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

I loved the first one. Wasn’t that keen on the 2nd one. Hopefully this one is more like the 1st. Seen trailer/teaser and looks good. Didn’t know Halle Berry was in it. Also the movie has their dogs in it – they better not die!

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Didn’t really like the 2014 Godzilla movie with Bryan Cranston. Didn’t see enough of Godzilla.

Zombieland 2

Big fan of the first movie. Big fan of Emma Stone – although I do remember when I watched it a 2nd time and wasn’t as good as I remembered. Must have built it up too much in my head!

Men in Black: International

Like both of the main stars so hopefully its good. Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson reunited after they starred together in Thor: Ragnarok. Will be interesting to see how they continue without Will Smith.

Pokémon Detective Pikachu

I know very little about Pokemon and Pikachu. But saw the trailer and it looks really good!

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

I generally like the Fast and the Furious movies but it changed from the 5th movie from a street car movie to an action movie. And then they decided to get The Rock and Jason Statham involved in the movies and it took it to another level. This looks like it will be more cartoon-ish action!

Terminator 6

Its a Terminator movie so I will watch it. Sarah Connor is back too. It will probably end up being rubbish though!

Shazam!

Saw the 1st trailer and wasn’t too sure at all. 2nd trailer was much better. Still unsure – could be rubbish, could be really good. Hopefully the latter.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Really liked the first one. Was not expecting much from it but it was really good.

Superb blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?

I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little
lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for
a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..
    Any ideas? Many thanks!

I am not a writer so don’t really have any tips! If you’re just starting out, might as well get a free blog e.g. WordPress. This site uses WordPress – it is self hosted. Depending on your technical experience, you may want to get a free WordPress site which is hosted by them – go to WordPress.com. You may want your blog to have a domainname e.g. fmovies.com – it is possible to link a domain name to WordPress.com – although you need to upgrade to a different plan https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
