United parade / Fergie retires

May 16th, 2013

The other week, Sir Alex Ferguson (Fergie) announced he was to retire at the end of the season. Apparently he wanted to announce he was to retire, after the last home game at Old Trafford the following weekend but the news was leaked.

There were rumours on Tuesday evening going around Twitter etc. It was official confirmed the next day.

End of an Era

It really is an end of an era. He has been manager of United for 26 and a half years – since November 1986. Its incredible! Many, many United fans will not have known United with another manager. We are not used to have different managers every few years like some other teams.

There are a couple managers who have been manager of a team longer – someone was manager of Auxerre for 44 years – but he was not anyway near as successful as Fergie.

The Premier League title was the 13th Premier League title United have won. It was the 20th league title in total. With the year being 2013, it was just perfect. Also, at the weekend, Rio became the 20th different goalscorer. And of course, our top goalscorer was Van Persie – who wears no. 20 shirt.

Its going to strange next season but in some ways an exciting change. At first I wanted Mourinho as the new manager. He would almost guarantee trophies and is a brilliant manager. However, thinking about it, I think Moyes is a great choice. For United, its all about having a long term manager, bringing the youth through to the senior team etc. Also Moyes style of management, apparently, has similarities to Fergie.

As well as Fergie retiring, Scholes is also retiring (again). David Gill is leaving and the kit man Albert is leaving too. Gary Neville retired recently, his brother Phil Neville has left Everton (and retiring from football??). (And its now been announced that David Beckham is retiring at end of the season). Out of those “Fergie’s Fledglings”, its only Giggs left!

United parade

It was the United Parade on Monday. I went round to friend flat around 6 – he lives besides Deansgate so we got a decent view as the team went past in the bus. There were 6 of us all with our heads out the 2 windows taking photos (and a bit of singing) as they went passed.

Was a bit worried about the weather though. Around 3pm, weather went horrible. Rain, wind, hail, bit of snow, lightning and thunder! It was sunny in the morning. Thankfully around 5, the weather improved a lot!

My friend made a sign also which the team should have seen. It said “Thank You Sir Alex and Scholesy”.

There were tons of people everywhere. There were 100s of people on some scaffolding along Deansgate – crazy – not safe. People stood on top of bus stops. People climbing on cars – and causing some damage (idiots!). Also heard about some people smashing up the City Store. All football clubs always have some “fans” like this – its the minority. We should have more class than that!

Anyway, after the team went passed, we quickly left flat and headed towards Albert Square. It was all closed off though. To be honest, I thought it may have been closed off. Or even if it was not, we would not be able to get anywhere near. People had been waiting there for hours before the team arrived.

You can see the photos I took here - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151586716111195.1073741828.597316194&type=1&l=34c82fffc5

Beckham to retire

May 16th, 2013

David Beckham has announced he is to retire at the end of the season. He’s a Manchester United legend. He has always been a United fan and always has good things to say about United (and Fergie).

Lots of people have a go at him and say he’s over-rated. As he’s got older, of course you could say he’s not as good as he used to be BUT you may forget how brilliant he was. One of the best freekick takers ever, the range of passing incredible, great team-player and gives 100% in every game.

One of my biggest memories of him was THAT goal against Greece. There are other memories such as that goal from the half way line and the numerous freekicks and brilliant goals. THAT goal against Greece got us to the World Cup and I was there in Old Trafford when he scored it – and the place went crazy.

He’s played for England 115 times. The most of any outfield player. He was the first English player to score in 3 consecutive World Cups. He’s played for some of the biggest teams in the world – United, Real Madrid, Galaxy, AC Milan and PSG. Trophies he’s won - 6 Premier Leagues, 2 FA Cups, 1 La Liga, 1 Champions League, 1 Ligue Un. Pretty good if you ask me.

And lets not forget about all the charity work he does and he was a big part in GB getting the Olympics.

Good luck and thank you Becks!

My favourite movies of 2012

January 22nd, 2013

A bit late with sorting out this list but there were a few “big” movies from last year I have only watched recently. Many of these top 10 movies of the year lists often miss out movies which were out early on in the year. Often, thats a good reason but sometimes you get some really good movies out around January/February. In 2012 for example, Chronicles was out 1st February – and that was a really good movie.

The List

Finding it too hard to make an actual top 10 but here are my favourites in no particular order (these are movies which were released in cinema in 2012):

  • The Amazing Spiderman – really liked this. Andrew Garfield makes a much better Spiderman – although hes probably too good looking to be Peter Parker and not that much of a “geek/nerd” if he manages to get the hottest girl in the school
  • Total Recall – sure many would disagree but I liked this. I like Colin Farrell and any movie with the beautiful Kate Beckinsale gets an extra few points from me.
  • The Hunger Games
  • The Raid – not much dialogue but non-stop martial arts action. Brilliant. (Dredd was very similar but with guns – it was only in 3D in the cinema so that didn’t help but Dredd is not bad).
  • The Avengers – great fun. Great action. Hulk star of the movie plus as always the Iron Man/Tony Stark humour
  • Looper
  • Argo – well directed. Great story. Well acted
  • Ted – very funny
  • Chronicles – great movie which many people will have forgot about since it was all ages ago (or missed it completely). I originally thought it was some Twilight type movie.
  • Ruby Sparks – a different sort of “romance”. More an indie comedy/fantasy/romance. Maybe a bit slow to get going a bit but really enjoyed. Stand out scene is near end where it gets very dark. Zoe Kazan who plays Ruby wrote the movie – the first thing (TV/Movie) she has wrote.

Worth a mention:

  • Skyfall – although overall it was just OK and the best bit was the first 5 minutes (and I personally wanted more gadgets), I did like the villian.
  • Taken 2 – its hard when “Taken 1″ was so amazing but this was good (if a bit daft) fun.
  • Silver Linings Playbook - movie was alright but Jennifer Lawrence was AMAZING in it.
  • The Muppets – was actually out in 2011 in US but not out in UK till Feb 2012

Worst movie(s) of year:

  • Killing Them Softly - rubbish!
  • The Bourne Legacy – boring. Little action. Nothing happened for about 45 minutes.

I live in the UK so some movies are not even out here which seem to feature in other peoples list. For example, Zero Dark Thirty, Lincoln and Flight. Also Wreck It Ralph is not out yet but was out 2012 in US – may not be in “top movie” lists but looks great.

Other movies didn’t manage to see in 2012:

Life of Pi
21 Jump Street
End of Watch
Prometheus
The Hobbit – although not bothered about it

I am sure I have forgot some movies and no doubt people will disagree with my list – including the exclusion of Dark Knight Rises.

Google Maps – navigation. Review

January 13th, 2013

I tested out the new Google Maps built in turn by turn navigation a couple times over Christmas. Its pretty good overall. It looks nice and since its Google Maps, it works very well as a map.

The new Google Maps app actually draws the maps now using vectors so its much more efficient. It means when you using it as a navigation, it is able to download/’draw’ the maps quicker.

I actually planned a route and when I almost reached destination, I turned off the 3G. Probably could have turned off data (but I was driving so had lack of time) but thought that would slow down its rate of downloading the maps. It seems OK for a bit but then it just seemed to freeze. Nevermind not download the maps but the actual “car” on the map didn’t move.

Anyway, when it was working it overall worked well. I did wonder how much data it was using though since its not like a TomTom app which has all the maps already on the iPhone. Not certain how much it used but for a journey about 35 ish miles I think it used ball park 50Mb?? Possible more but didn’t have an accurate reading of data used before. If you use it a few times you could easily use up your data allowance – unless your on unlimited. I am only on 500Mb and I may go over before month is up!!

I do have a few issues with the navigation in Google Maps app. The main one is that the colour of the motorways is blue but the line you are to follow. Can be a bit confusing when it all merges together. Not ideal when driving and trying to just glance at the phone – which is already small compared to most sat navs.

Another issue is that it lacks information which you may expect – like speed limit (and maybe speed cameras). If your in a unfamilar place, and even with road markings and street lights as an indicator, it sometimes nice to have something else to confirm the speed limit.

Finally, when using the navigation, we were in the middle of a journey when the app popped up with a message. Something like a feedback message to ask if we liked the app, how good we thought it was – something like that. If you in the middle of using this, you could be in the middle navigating through a complicated bit of journey with lots of turnings and then a stupid message pops up!

We will see if Google make an amends to the app. The Google Maps navigation has been on Android phones for ages so maybe things like the motorway colour won’t change??

Chris Moyles Live

December 7th, 2012

Went to see Chris Moyles Live tonight – went with old uni friend Paul Gannon. Had a great time. We arrived just before 7 and saw a big queue. As we walked from car park to queue the doors opened. We thought we were at the back but loads of people came after us.

We were not near the back when we got in and even after using toilet and getting drink we were about half way back. By then it was about 730 so the wait till 815 wasn’t too bad.

I took plenty of vids and photos. It was great to see them live. I am sure most people didn’t know what to expect. What it just be like the radio show? Would Chris do “stand up”. It was kind of a bit of both plus singing by Chris, Dom and Aled and the music played by Rockaoke.

There was several singalong moments, Queen, Adele – I even found myself singing along to One Direction. And we had a “live” video link up with Ed Sheeran. ;)

Chris got a couple woman on stage to sing karaoke. They were very drunk – scarily, these 2 woman were nursery school teachers. Teaching the future of this country were these 2 woman! Scary. Also, he chose a guy to sing. He wasn’t drunk and not bad. He was a local DJ so was maybe a bit too confident.

There was no mention of Dave at all – although a few hecklers tried to get a response.

I thought Dom was the funniest. Fake Adele was LOL. Or rather “Faye Kedel”.

Laughed a lot and made me wish the radio show was still on!

Formula 1 2012 season

December 7th, 2012

So thats the F1 season over…. and what a season!

We had everything this season with great races, great overtakes, 6 different World champions, 7 different winners in first 7 races, Schumacher getting pole in Monaco – shame the rest of the season wasn’t too much to write home about apart from 3rd in Valencia, Hamilton putting his foot in it on Twitter, Raikkonen’s win, Grosjean trying his best to crash into everything,….. and Raikkonen having a go at his race engineer!

We also had a new race in America in Austin. What a great race track! Sounds like all the drivers loved it and we had a good race – Hamilton pursuit of Vettel was excellent.

Arguably the fastest car this season has been the McLaren so its been disappointing for them in a way. Finished 3rd in constructors championship. Reliability let them down and also some poor decisions. And things like not having enough fuel (although Red Bull did that too)! McLaren never had every 100% working smoothly all the time. First their pit stops were rubbish but good everything else, then the pit stops were amazing but other things went wrong.

Personally I wanted Alonso to win. I like Vettel – he comes across as a down to earth funny guy but Alonso drove better – his Ferrari guy was never the fastest car on the grid but he lost by a few points. Also, the combination of Vettel and Red Bull working together and seemingly always qualifying on pole and going into the distance, can be boring.

The last race in Brazil was great! It was a fitting end to the season! We had safety cars, some rain, Vettel getting hit and spun on first turn, Raikkonen taking a wrong turning and heading for a dead-end, Button winning…. after possible controversy after the race with Vettel passing under “yellow flag”. (Looks like its nothing as he had passed a green flag).

One of the sights I will remember from race (and season) is the look on Alonso’s face at end after the race as Vettel is celebrating. Gutted for him! I was happy Massa was on podium in home GP. He has improved a lot recently.

Highlights of season inc overtake on Schumacher in Spa by Raikkonen and Raikonnen radio talk to engineer in Abu Dhabi. Brilliant!

Heres his quotes -

“Just leave me alone, I know what I’m doing.”

“Yes, yes, yes, yes – I’m doing it all the time. You don’t have to remind me every second.”

Looking forward to next season already. How will Hamilton do at Mercedes? What about Perez in McLaren? Will Red Bull continue to dominate?

Do the BBC have all the races next year or is it like this year?? It is a shame that the BBC won’t have Jake anymore. He was great and the banter and chemistry between him, EJ and DC was great. Good luck Jake!

Why you should vote Obama (Please!!) #VoteObama

November 6th, 2012

(Actually, I am not in the position or have the right to tell you who to vote for. But please DON’T vote for Romney. Please).

Its US Election day and right now, millions of people are voting. Personally I have been looking forward to this. I remember 4 years ago staying up late to see what was happening and finding out the latest. Things like Twitter are even bigger now so it will be interesting to see what rumours and bits of news we ail see.

Anyway, even though I won’t be voting – since I am not a resident of the USA – I thought I would share my votes on why people should vote for Obama (and in a way, why not to vote for Romney and the Republican party).

One amusing poll I saw a couple weeks ago surveyed almost 22,000 people in 21 countries who they preferred to be US President. On average, 50% favoured Obama. Just 9% favoured Romney! If anything, vote for Obama or else you could be hated by everyone else. In France, 72% favour Obama and it looks like just 2% favour Romney!

Obama has actually accomplished a lot since he became President.

Its not been easy for Obama with 2 wars and a near “Great Depression”!

Some of the things he’s done: (I have just copy and pasted from a web sitehere – saves me time):

Internationally, Obama has deftly managed the complexity of U.S. policy through the Arab Spring, killed Osama bin Laden, reset our relations with Russia, ended the combat mission in Iraq, banned the use of torture, restored respectability to the United Nations and the G-20, and successfuly (until now) contained a nuclear Iran. Would we like to see Guantanamo closed, troops out of Afghanistan, and peace in Israel-Palestine? Of course, but note the number of positives.

Domestically, President Obama has passed historic health care legislation, restored the financial system so that it functions, set up a Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, expanded national service more than ever before, reformed the student loan program, passed Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and protected our national security.

Romney’s “distortions”

There are actually tons of points made on Obama’s site about Romney’s “distortions” – including flat out lying! Check them out.

Romney is not even winning in the state where he was governor.

Generally, the people of Massachusetts think he’s a rubbish governor. Its fair to say their are mixed feelings about him.

College – Pell grants

Romney’s running mate Paul Ryan has proposed a budget to eliminate $170b from Pell grants. Pell grants allow low-income students to receive funding for college without repayment. This would effect 1 million students if it passed.

Woman’s rights(or lack of them if Romney wins)

Romney has a problem with woman votes because of his view on things like abortion, contraception and other health issues. His view on Funding For Planned Parenthood? “Get Rid Of That”. Heres 5 Ways Romney has failed to stand up for Woman.

Romney dismissed nearly half of Americans as freeloaders

I am sure you have seen or heard about this video. He gave a private tai to wealthy contributors and said what he thought about voters who support Obama – thats 47% of Americans. He dismissed them as freeloaders who pay no tax.

Here is the vid on YouTube -

Romney keeps changing his mind on key issues

Gun control - in 2004 he passed one of the tightest bans on assault weapons in Massachusetts. But later on, he bought lifetime membership to NRA.

Obamacare- he can’t seem to decide if he’s for or against it.

Do you want a president who can’t make up his mind?

Environment

He advocates renewable resources but supports drilling in Arctic Wildlife National Refuge.

(Plus, Obama is so much cooler than Romney. American just got rid of the bumbling idiot George W Bush and they could have Romney as President, who can be “not very tactful”. He had a go at Obama for his response to attacks on Americans in Middle East – just hours after death of 4 Americans in Libya).

Gay people not allowed to marry

Romney states that “I believe marriage is a sacred institution between a man and a woman and I have been rock solid in my support of traditional marriage.” It is 2012 the last time I checked!

Summer of sport / Sports Personality of the Year

September 16th, 2012

We have pretty much come to the end of the summer of sport for 2012 – although you could argue that the Ryder Cup at end of September is the end?? Anyway, its been a rather good summer of sport – especially for Great Britain!! As a spots fan, I had lots to look forward to with the Euro 2012 tournament, the Olympics and Wimbledon. However, its been so much more.

Euro 2012/US Open

Near the start of the summer we had the Euros. Euro 2012 is an overall good tournament – as expected England didn’t win but maybe did better than expected?? The final itself say Spain thrash Italy 4-0. In the middle of summer we had the Olympics and Paralympics and only recently we the US Open. I will talk about the Olympics/Paralympics in a bit but just to say that it was amazing the US Open and Andy Murray winning. First grand slam won by a Brit for 74 years! Added to his Gold and Silver in Olympics, its been a great year for him!

The Olympics and Paralympics have just been incredible – only problem was the empty seats issue but that was sorted eventually. I am sure you all watched it and have so many highlights yourself. As a Brit, I was hugely proud being British. TeamGB and ParalympicGB performed amazingly. London2012 is incredible – it was run so well. The volunteers (Games Makers) were excellent – so helpful, funny and friendly. The various ceremonies were outstanding (although some better than others – for example, the Olympic opening ceremony was much better than Olympic Closing ceremony).

So many highlights

There were many highlights (not just for Brits) from the Olympics and Paralympics including (in no particular order):

  • Mo Farah’s 5000m and 10,000m
  • Jess Ennis Heptathlon
  • Usain Bolt 100m and 200m
  • Greg Rutherford winning long jump
  • Chris Hoy winning again
  • David Weir – incredible that he can do short distances, medium distances and long distances.
  • Andy Murray winning Gold (and Silver)
  • Woman’s Team GB hockey team
  • Woman’s Team GB footballers beating Brazil
  • Nicola Adams in the boxing
  • Michael Phelps becoming the greatest Olympian of all time
  • Sarah Storey winning 11 Gold medals in Paralympics – in swimming in past and now cycling. 22 medals in total
  • Jonnie Peacock becoming fastest amputee sprinter in the world
  • David Wetherhill’s amazing, diving shot in the table tennis
  • Li Duan and his impression of someone from Bucks Fizz and removing his trousers in the blind long jump. Actually, blind long jumping was great viewing
  • The wheelchair rugby – aka Murderball. Brutal!
  • John Cundy’s ‘rage’ in the cycling when he was disqualified
  • Ellie Simmonds performance in the swimming pool
  • Ben Ainslie winning Gold again. But the bit I will remember was talking about his rivals and them accusing him of cheating. He said (in a Hulk way) that they made him angry (falsely accusing him) and they don’t want to make him angry!! :)
  • Victoria Pendleton – all that hard work and won a Gold (but she missed out on the individual sprint, controversially relegated)
  • The Brownlee brothers in the triathlon – incredible. Alistair Brownlee won and ran the 10km run bit of the triathlon just a minute slower than Mo Farah won his 10km race – so just minute slower after all the swimming and cycling!
  • Beth Tweddle finally winning a Gold medal
  • David Rudisha in the 800m and smashing the world record
  • Jade Jones winning taekwondo
  • When Chad le Clos won in the swimming pool, beating Michael Phelps in the 200m – the event which Phelps was basically indestructible in. The best bit actually was not the win, which was of course amazing, but the interview with his dad Bert le Clos with Clare Balding afterwards. Great interview, what a guy. Just so proud and happy for his son.
Opening Ceremony with James Bond meeting the Queen – genius.
  • Oscar Pistorius – he didn’t do himself any favours when he lost he race and should have been more humble but was great to see him to winning. He’s not retired so will continue running but it has to be said he’s done a lot for the Paralympics in general to raise its profile etc.
  • The BBC commentators going made when Mo Farah won 10km. They also went crazy for I think 100m Mens final???
  • The Team GB rowers
  • Richard Whitehead in the 200m. The way he stormed passed everyone near the end.
  • Tom Daley – not quite the fairytale story and winning Gold but he should (and was) proud and happy to win Bronze. He (along with the other athletes) should be role models for children and not reality TV stars or footballers. As well as being an Olympic medal winner, he got straight A’s in his A Levels.
  • China’s Ye Shiwen in the swimming pool. Amazing!
  • The booing of politicians such as George Osbourne when handing out medals.
  • The Dad dancing by Boris Johnson and David Cameron when the Spice Girls were on
  • Hassani Djae Ahamada, of the Comoros Islands, and their only athlete, was disqualified for a false start but continued swimming regardless of the decision. Ahamada finished the S9 50m freestyle despite official’s efforts to try and stop him.
  • Lazaro Borges pole voting breaking into a few pieces
  • The Paralympics high jump event :-o

Thats quite a big list and I have probably forgot many others!!

Its just been great all of this, loved watching it and shouting at the TV. The comedian Adam Hill, who presented the Last Leg show on Channel 4 – highlights show for Paralympics said a great thing about the Paralympics. “Sydney was the 1st Paralympics where the competitors felt like equals, London is the 1st where they’ve been treated as heroes”.

Tour De France

Before the Olympics, there was the Tour de France which was won by Bradley Wiggins – the first time a Brit one. Then as I just said, Olympics and Paralympics where Brits did amazing. Then the other week, Andy Murray won the US Open – after winning Gold and Silver medal in the Olympics.

Sports Personality of the Year

With all this amazing success for Britain, the voting for the Sports Personality of the Year is going to be tough!! Very tough!! I think I heard that regarding special honours given by Queen – CBEs, OBEs, Knighthoods etc – that there will be a special section this year. Is that right??

Anyway, my guess for the top 3 for Sports Personality of the Year (not that it matters as much as e.g. winning a Gold Olympic medal) is:

Wiggins
Murray
Jessica Ennis

However, I could easily change my mind and David Weir, Mo Farah, Chris Hoy and several more could easily be top 3. I have looked at the bookies and Chris Hoy is 8th favourite – after what he has achieved this year – you know its an exception year when he’s 8th favourite!

This is just what I think it will be. Not necessarily what I want it to be since I can’t decide. It certainly won’t be an football who wins it!!

Chris Moyles show – End of an Era

September 16th, 2012

The Chris Moyles show has ended :( Personally, I am sad its ended. I’ve been listening to the Chris Moyles show in various different time slots pretty much since he was on Radio 1 around 1997/98. Now if your not a fan of Chris Moyles or the show, you probably won’t be interested in the rest of my blog post!!

Chris started in the early breakfast show so I may have heard a tiny bit of him before whoever was on at breakfast. Soon he moved to doing a Saturday show which was where I would have listened to Chris (and Dave) fairly regularly. He covered for the Breakfast a few times. His next main time slot was the afternoon where he (along with Dave plus various other team members) did the show for about 5 years. Then in 2005, he got the job he always wanted – the Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

This mean instead of listening to him driving home from work, I listened to him driving to work. It made the journey into work easier!! Thankfully the iPlayer and the whole Listen Again was invented and I was then able to listen to the bits I missed throughout the day.

The Haters

I know there are many Chris Moyles (show) haters out there but I reckon many of them have not actually listened to the show before or maybe never. I think some just believe what they read in the newspapers about how he’s some horrible, obnoxious ogre. If anyone actually listened, they would realise he’s nothing like this and is actually a nice, funny guy. Of course, I don’t expect everyone to like it – it can’t appeal to everyone.

No music … but thats what makes it good!!

One of the criticisms of the Chris Moyles show was the lack of music being played. In fact, in the opening half hour, no music is usually played. Its actually one of my favourite bits where they just chat about the news, what happened last night and often some random topic. As James Corden said in the Goodbye Show, its just like listening to a bunch of friends. If you want to listen to music, especially nowadays, you have lots of options to listen online to pretty much any station in the world or something like Spotify. I read someone say that as a DJ his job is just to introduce the song and press play?!?! Really. No talk at all, no banter, no interaction between station and audience??!

Final shows

The final 2 shows were on the Red Button – so you could watch the specials. I woke up at 630am to watch them both. The show finished off with a “normal” show in the studio but on the Thursday there was a special Goodbye Show from the BBC Radio Theatre. It had a live audience with Chris Moyles show fans and lots of celeb guests. Ant and Dec were on, presenting a special This Is Your Life. Guests included Gary Barlow, Billie Piper, Davina McCall, Fearne Cotton, Sara Cox, Roy Walker and as I mentioned before, James Corden. Is a fan of the show for so long it was emotional listening to what the guests had to say.

On Friday’s ‘normal’ show, the only guests in the studio was Richard Curtis and Comic Relief’s Kevin Cahill. They were there to say thank you – the Chris Moyles show team had done many things for Comic Relief and helped raise £10.4m. You may not like Chris Moyles and/or the show, but you have to give credit to them for that. One of the highlights of the show was the special Starboy song by McFly. Friday’s on Chris Moyles show for a few years have been called McFly Day – they would always play the McFly song, Stargirl. McFly recorded a special version of the song and sent in the video. Its worth checking out!

If you are a Chris Moyles show fan, I am sure you will have seen the show, the videos and listened in but if not, I recommend checking it out of Radio 1 site before its gone (and on YouTube). Also, get the special Podcasts including the very last one which is the whole of the last show.

If you are a fan of Chris Moyles (show) or even if not, I recommend reading the Guardian article by Peter Robinson about Chris Moyles – http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/tvandradioblog/2012/sep/13/chris-moyles-radio-star

Anyway, I just want to say thank you to Chris Moyles and the rest of the team – current and past. So Dave, Aled, Dom, Tina, Freya, Pippa, Carrie, Rachel, Matt, Sam, Jocelyn and everyone else who was involved in the morning, afternoon or weekend show.

Its not quite all over though. Chris is going on a tour in November. Its with “special guests” and I have heard that Aled is planning to be involved – whether its just a few shows or not, who knows. Hopefully other team members can but it won’t be the same. There is rumour that Chris will be doing a late night version of the Chris Moyles show – he’s contracted with Radio 1 till 2014. Lets see what happens….
